NPR says that World financial markets welcome court ruling against Trump's tariffs | Ricardo Baeza Errazuriz

A U.S. federal court has ruled that President Donald Trump exceeded his authority by imposing sweeping tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The court determined that the IEEPA does not authorize the use of tariffs, effectively blocking many of the administration's recent tariff orders. The White House has appealed the decision, and it remains uncertain whether the administration will comply with the ruling in the interim. U.S. futures rose early Thursday, with the S&P 500 up 1.5% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 1.2%. Oil prices increased by more than $1, and the U.S. dollar strengthened against the yen and euro. In Europe, Germany's DAX gained 0.5%, France's CAC 40 jumped 0.9%, and Britain's FTSE remained nearly unchanged. PacerMonitor  is a commercial service that provides  easy access to U.S. federal court records , including  bankruptcy, civil, and criminal cases . It pulls data from  PACER  (Public Access to Court Electronic Records), which is the official system run by the U.S. federal courts. However, PACER itself is often clunky and not very user-friendly.
